Ross Beadman
In Ross's own words - My entry into film began with a mixture of luck, nepotism, and putting my hand up first. This was the story of how I got my part as the iconic youngling who was murdered by Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. I got the role through an ex-colleague of my mum's who emailed her that they were looking for roles in a new Star Wars film coming up. That message got relayed to me and as a 6 year old fan of the series what do you think the result was? I was one among many kids cast as younglings and got the role by being quick on the ball and not making any friends on set. When the casting director asked, "who knows the line then?" I put my hand up first due to my repeated practice and as I was the only one paying attention and not talking.
Preceding this I played the role of the childhood version of Chris Marshall's character in BBC comedy 'My Life in Film' in a flashback scene which involved me setting fire to a toy train track. Furthermore, I co-starred with my brother Leo (he played Walter Doehner) as Werner Doehner, the last survivor of the ill-fated family torn apart in the Hindenburg airship disaster in a National Geographic reconstruction of the event.
It's fair to say that most of the few characters I've played have met with a grisly end but I feel very privileged to have these experiences in my former years and to interact with fans now.
