David M. Santana
David M. Santana, born September 18th, 1984, is a Spanish actor from Gran Canaria, The Canary Islands, relocated to London in 2013.
Passionate about acting since he was a child, his grandfather showed him how wonderful the world of movies is. He's always wanted to live in a big city where opportunities are waiting at every corner. First, he studied a BA in Translation and Interpreting of English and German in The University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, Spain. He is a Sworn Legal Interpreter as well. He also speaks Spanish (mother tongue). He studied Italian, French, Korean and Japanese. He also studied acting at Identity School of Acting, The Actor's Centre and The Actor's Surgery in London, when he started his professional acting career. He then worked in some English productions, Major films, Theater, TV Shows, Web series and short films.
He quickly had the great opportunity to work in 'Star Wars. The Force Awakens' directed personally by J.J. Abrams on set with a featured role as First Order Core Stormtrooper (Officer Snowtrooper, Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper and Stormtrooper). He also worked for the new Star Wars Verizon commercial for the one he was highly recommended by Lucasfilm/ Disney thanks to the professional job he delivered in The Force Awakens. Since then David has appeared in 2 other Lucasfilm productions, 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' portraying a Classic Stormtrooper, a Scarif Trooper Squad Leader, a Scarif Trooper and a Rebel Soldier, and in 'Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi' in which he portrayed a First Order Stormtrooper Commander.
Willing to extend his skills and life experience, he then moved to London. A year later, he signed with the agency S.T.Arts Management and then has been introduced to the industry via castings for feature films, commercials and theater.
He also met the talented directors and screenwriters Jessica González, Fran Villalba, Chris Geden and Atahan Kiltan who hired him as the main character for four of their projects 'Lessons to dissect a heart', 'Important things to do before the world's end', 'Tea Anyone?' and 'Rotten from the core'.
David's focus is to continue improving his acting range while gaining the opportunity to work with creative directors. It is very important for him to keep creativity running by working in small projects movies, by creating improvised scenes with other actors and by attending acting classes at the Identity School of Acting where is improving his acting skills.
